It’s one thing to read the instructions, but it sure helps to see the SWR dictation method in action. Correction

The first syllable was pronounced during dictation as /hahl/, in which case we should have put a 3 over the A phonogram (third sound). This SHOULD have been pronounced as /hal/ (first sound), the way it is marked in the Wise Guide, and then no marking above the A phonogram would be necessary. In other words, our markings did not match the pronunciation we gave this first syllable.
